What foods do you all eat that produce harder and firmer stools?

I’d like to know the answer to this too.

I’ve never been able to make a corrolation between what I eat and what I poop (except curry which usually ends the same way).

I have noticed that if I spend a day doing physical work, e.g. chopping wood, the next day my poop is large and relatively solid though.

Common foods that often cause mild constipation (aka harder/firm)

    Cheese
    Unripe bananas
    Alcohol
    Food that contains gluten
Processed grains (like white bread, pasta)
    Milk and dairy products
Red meat (makes it extra stinky too!)
    Fried or fast foods

    🙂

General rule of thumb: Any diet that does not promote bowel motility, will usually inhibit it.

In around March last year, I went on a largely Ketogenic diet. The diet is low carbohydrate, high fat, high protein. It wasn’t long before I started doing some impressively firm poos. I’ve relaxed that diet a little, and my poos have become a little softer.

Lots of cheese and refined carbs (pasta, rice, white bread). Also take Loperamide to clog yourself even more. Let the log sit and “bake” for a few days in your colon. You will get delicious rotten smelling farts, that satisying full feeling, and a big fat solid log at the end.
